All Things Adolescent was developed in response to a need to have a service that designs and delivers accurate, evidence-based health education programs for teachers, group leaders, parents and tweens/teens.  The programs are targeted to engage these audiences in developmentally appropriate educational interventions that can provide young people with the knowledge, skills, resources and support necessary to adopt behaviors that are conducive to healthier living.  

 

Although schools and youth serving agencies may provide health and sexual health education to teens, time constraints and conflicting priorities may lead to a reduction in the number of programs offered, thus lessening the overall impact of the program.

At All Things Adolescent we work with staff to identify what their programmatic goals are and how we can help achieve them.  We then develop programs that are aligned with these goals and design and implement one or more programs that target their specific needs. We can also create evaluation tools that measure the success of program interventions. In addition to measuring program impact, positive evaluations are often helpful when seeking financial support for programs.

Andrea Rothenberg has dedicated much of her career to working with teens around pertinent issues that affect their overall health and wellbeing.  Andrea’s career began as a Health teacher in a New York City High School.  She also worked at The Floating Hospital, which at the time was a health education facility for low income families.  For the past twenty-eight years she has been working at Mount Sinai Hospital and is currently  the Director of the Department of Health Education. She is also on faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she teaches two electives in the Masters of Public Health Program.

Ms. Rothenberg’s clinical and direct service expertise heavily concentrates on adolescent pregnancy, parenting and prevention.  She has been facilitating programs for this population for nearly three decades and has presented her work to audiences locally, nationally and internationally.
